"ayoko na..." i think i've heard this more than
ten thousand times over the past weeks... i've always thought that i could
handle the obstacles in my life on my own as long as long as i have God by my
side... maybe i actually could, but i guess the saying that no man is an island
didn't just come up for no reason at all.. i don't know if it's just me or the
college set-up, which is responsible for how my life is going right now, but i
think it's useless to even figure that out.. when i was in high school, i
anticipated more difficult trials to cross my path.. i believed that i would be
able to surpass them.. but now, it's as if there's no longer hope for anything
that the only way to get over things is to give up..
i think it sucks to always have to make it seem that things
are going really well..
i think it sucks to have to pretend to be so strong..
i think it sucks to have to turn every mishap into a joke..
i think it sucks to have to live up to an image with fear
that going against the way one should be acting, will cause others to generate
negative judgements, and thus bring more chaos in a person's life..
i think it sucks that people are so restrained to express
how they really feel because of never ending set backs..
i think it sucks to have to give up the things that could
make a person happy for the other more important things that one is expected to
accomplish..
i think it sucks that no matter how much effort a person
puts into a task, there will also be a possibility that failure will dawn on it
as if the situation is trying to imply incapability of achieving one's goal..
i think it sucks that there are so many things to
accomplished at a very limited amount of time..
life in itself is tiring. nevertheless, there will always be
a brighter side of life which each one is bound to discover- probably not now
or in the near future, but definitely at the right time. you don't really have
to look for it though, you just have to see it. i don't just speak for myself
because i've witnessed so many people in pain and in distress over the past few
weeks. frankly, it hurts to see people in sorrow especially if you care a lot
about them. it hurts even more when you find yourself helpless that even though
you want to help a person you just can't find a solution to their problems...

back to being bookworm..
One of my fave pastimes is reading.. Yes, i do read a lot... if I have spare time.. hehe.. and now, i'm into reading again.. i like mostly romance novels.. call me a hopeless romantic.. 
Last night I was reading Nicholas Sparks's The Notebook. Though I have exam the next day, I slept late just to finish it. haha.. I've already watched the movie,but I prefer to read the book itself since a lot said that it's better when you've read it. True enough. A lot of good scenes in the book was not shown in the movie kasi.. I was so amazed with the story and how i wish my love story's like this one. haha.. if i can read this a hundred times, i would. coz i find it moving and can really touch your heart. a lot of quotable quotes are there too. so for those guys who want to impress your girls, you better read this one.. hehe..

If you're not married yet, share this with a friend. If you are married, share it with your spouse or
other married couples
and reflect on it.
An African proverb states, "Before you get married, keep both eyes open and after you marry, close one eye."
Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone,
don't let lust, desperation, immaturity, ignorance, pressure from others
or a low self-esteem, make you blind to warning signs.
Keep your eyes open, and don't fool yourself that you can change someone or that what you see as faults aren't really
important.
Once
you decide to commit to someone, over time his or her flaws,
vulnerabilities, pet peeves, and differences will become more obvious.
If you love your mate and want the relationship to grow and evolve,
you've got to learn to close one eye and not let every little thing bother you.
You and your mate have many different expectations, emotional needs, values, dreams, weaknesses,
and strengths.
You are two unique individual children of God who have decided to share a life together.
Neither of you are perfect, but are you perfect for each other?
Do you bring out the best in each other?
Do you compliment and compromise with each other,
or do you compete, compare, and control?
What do you bring to the relationship?
Do you bring past relationships, past hurt, past mistrust, past pain?

What keeps a relationship strong?
Communication,
intimacy, trust, a sense of humor, sharing household tasks, some
getaway time without business or children and daily exchanges (a meal,
shared activity, a hug, a call, a touch, a note).
Leave a nice message on the voicemail or send a nice email.
Sharing common goals and interests.
Growth is important.
Grow together, not away from each other, giving each other space to grow without feeling insecure.
Allow your mate to have outside interest. You can't always be together.
Give each other a sense of belonging and assurances of commitment.
Don't try to control one another.
Learn each other's family situation.
Respect his or her parents regardless.
Don't put pressure on each other for material goods.
Remember for richer or for poorer.
If these qualities are missing, the relationship will
erode as resentment, withdrawal, abuse, neglect, dishonesty, and pain replace the passion.
